Our
story

Boosting companies since 1998

TIIN Capital, based in the Netherlands, is one of the oldest venture capital firms in Europe. It was founded in 1998 by a group of successful entrepreneurs.

Initially investing case by case, The Informal Investors Network (TIIN) quickly became a thriving community of more than 1,000 informal investors.

Several years later, the wish to make larger investments resulted in the launch of TIIN Capital, a professionally structured fund manager (GP). Since then, TIIN Capital has welcomed – among others – family offices, corporates and institutional investors as Limited Partners.

In 2023 we will celebrate our 25th anniversary.

Specialist in
security tech

It is our belief that focus leads to better results. Therefore, we have been specializing in security tech since 2018. TIIN Capital is the only investment firm based in the Benelux specialized in cybersecurity.

TIIN Capital is now one of the leading cybersecurity funds in Europe and our European Cyber Tech Fund V will be launched soon. This €100 million fund supports cybersecurity and IoT security startups and scale-ups based in Europe.

We work with tomorrow’s cybersecurity leaders. The teams we invest in have vision, a winning mentality and execution power. In today’s world, security tech and talent are more critical than ever before. Together, let’s contribute to a safe and resilient Europe.

More information about European Cyber Tech Fund V will be provided by TIIN Capital on request, free of charge. No rights can be derived from this communication. Our contact information can be found here.

Our partners

TIIN Capital is a key player in public-private partnerships for cybersecurity. For example, we are an active member of the European Cyber Security Organization (ECSO) and we have a second office at Security Delta (HSD) in The Hague. Our extensive network includes local ecosystems, government-related partners, corporates and other venture capital firms.

We leverage our network to boost our portfolio companies.

Investing
with impact

TIIN Capital wants to generate a measurable social impact alongside a financial return. We are convinced that impact investing as well as fostering diversity and inclusion contribute to the long-term objectives of our investment funds.

Therefore, we incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in investment decisions and in our active ownership. In particular, we focus on the United Nations' Sustainable Developments Goals no. 5 (gender equality), no. 8 (decent work and economic growth) and no. 9 (industry, innovation and infrastructure).
